How to create lists, how to send messages, broadcast, and do all that stuff that you wanna do with your email marketing. So, if you haven’t already, then you definitely wanna subscribe to my channel.
Definitely hit the video like on the videos so you can be notified whenever I release more videos on AWeber, email marketing, things like that. So this is gonna be a series of videos that is gonna walk you through step-by-step on each one of these things. And so, after this one, you will get a video on– This one’s gonna be a pretty much an overview on AWeber. The next video is gonna be about how to create a list and then the other one is gonna be about how to send broadcast messages to your list. Another one’s gonna be about how to basically create a form so you can get more subscribers on your emails, and then I’m gonna show you some nifty secret tricks on how to create automation follow-up series with your AWeber campaign.
So, without further ado, let’s get to it. All right, so this is Aweber. All right, Aweber is one of my favorite auto-responders. Obviously, you need an auto-responder if you’re gonna be doin’ email marketing, right? And so this whole tutorial is about Aweber. So, the reason why I’m doin’ it mostly on Aweber and not the other ones is that, in my opinion, Aweber is one of the more bigger and more reputable email marketing companies and their software, tons of people are using it, and, for me, Aweber pricing comes to be about $19 per month, and for all the things you get with that I think is a pretty good deal. You can send unlimited emails, the automation, segmentation, analytics, the customer service is really off the chain. Like, to be honest, whenever I need to email them to do something, and I’m gonna show you there’s gonna be a few times when you’re gonna need to email them, they’re really quick to respond and I just love it and there’s a whole bunch of other things you can do to integrate really well with pretty much any other software or company out there.
So if you’ve got PayPal, or you got Spotify, or you got, you know, anything, right? It most likely to integrate with Aweber. So that’s another reason why I really like it. So, I’m gonna leave a link below so you can get started if you haven’t already. To get your 30 day free trial and you can try it out and after that, it’s just $20 a month and so to me, it’s a pretty good investment for your email marketing towards your business. So, alright, so enough of that, we’re gonna get right down into it, alright? So, here’s my dashboard. So, what I’m gonna talk to you about in terms of Aweber email marketing in this video, is basically just the general overview of how to get started. So when you get your 30 day trial it’s gonna take you through a set-up process. You know, you fill out your name and information, all that, and then you pick the package you wanna go with and then, boom, you’re gonna come on this page and it’s gonna be something like this, an Account Overview page. And so, let me just orient you to what you’re looking at, all right? So, here you’re gonna see basic information it’s gonna show you you’re account overview when you’re at the homepage.
Here are your subscriber stats, how many subscribers you have total, all your recent broadcasts that you’ve made, any lists that you have, I have a few (chuckles) if you can tell, it kinda shows you here. And then if you have any scheduled broadcasts, in other words, scheduled messages you’re gonna send to your list, it’ll show that here too. All right, and so let’s go through this, the top part here you gonna see things and it says, messages, subscribers, sign-up forms reports, and list options, all right? So, I’m gonna go through them real quick. And don’t mind the baby, obviously he’s back there giving Mommy a fit, so (laughs) so just to let you know you might hear a whole lotta baby. All right, so in here, you’re gonna have messages so you have drafts, broadcasts, campaigns, legacy follow-up series, blog broadcasts. So basically this is where you’re going to create your messages when you’re sending an email to your list, all right? And so this is where you would create a draft and I’ll go more into details in subsequent videos.
This one is pretty much an overview so that you kind of understand what you’re dealing with. So if you ever want to deal with anything about messages, sending a draft, creating a draft that you have for your messages or maybe sending a broadcast. A broadcast is essentially when you send an email to a whole list. So you might have created an email and then you send it to one particular list, that’s considered a broadcast, that’s all it is, just sending email.
Campaigns, or a different type of follow-up series. So here you’re gonna see legacy follow-up series, essentially, follow-up series is just when you have a series of emails that are automatically scheduled to be sent out to a list subscriber at a certain specified date and time. So let’s say you create a few emails and you want to welcome your new subscriber that you’ll automatically send, you can put them in a follow-up series and it’ll essentially be sent to your list subscriber automatically for you without having to do it. Campaigns is a little different thing, I’m not gonna talk too much about ’em ’cause to be honest I don’t really use it as much just because I haven’t found the best way to implement it, but when I do I’ll definitely release a video about it, just kinda going over the details. But essentially what it is, is more advanced follow-up series essentially allowing you to send emails to certain people in a particular list and then, let’s say that you acquire these people on to your lists in different ways.
Maybe you want to send a different email to people you got from YouTube versus people that came to you from Facebook. Then you can do that, that’s what campaigns are for. Blog broadcasts, if you want to send out a message regarding a recent blog post, you can do that. Then, on to subscribers, this is everything subscribers so this allows you to manage your subscribers. So you can go here, you can go to it and be able to review all your subscribers here that you have. I might have to blur some of this out so that y’all don’t see this (chuckles). But essentially allows you manage your subscribers, you can add subscribers here, and allows you to filter through your subscribers so you can add them here. So let’s say you have a list of subscribers already you can add them doing this, if you don’t then you don’t have to worry about it. And then you got sign-up forms. Sign-up forms are essentially a way for you, like I said, allow you to create a form to get more people on your list.
So you’re getting more subscribers, more people on your list who can receive your email updates. So it’s a great, that’s exactly what it is it’s a sign up form and you can put this form anywhere you want to, we’ll go into more detail on that later on. Here’s where you can go deeper into analytics and looking at the reports that you have in your blog or in your email list, and so it allows you to go through just a … you know there’s quite a bit of reports and analytics that you can go through to just kinda get an idea how your subscribers are behaving so it’s pretty good information.
And then here’s list options so we’ll talk about this more when we talk about setting up a list which is gonna be probably the next video, but this is where you’ll go in order to manage the different settings that you have for your particular lists. And then, up here, you can manage lists so when you have a different whole set of lists you can come here and be able to manage all of those here and it gives you a little bit more information about that, and also allows you to be able to create a list here too. Integrations, like I said, if you’re inclined to integrate with anything, you can integrate with a ton of things. So right now I have this thing integrated with a bunch of different applications online that help me do my business. You know, payment ones, lead funnel systems, Facebook, webinar systems, anything that you have there’s like a ton of them as you can see.
This list can go pretty long, so that’s another big reason why I think Aweber is kinda just a go-to for getting started because you really can’t go wrong. And so that is pretty much that. Here you can get some more help, you can click here. If you wanna get more information about how to set up lists, how to get more subscribers, how to create auto-responding emails, autopilot emails and things like that. They have a pretty good knowledge base, they do a great job answering your questions. So in this series I’m really just gonna run over just basic stuff that you need to know that’s gonna help you just get your emails up and going.
Get your email marketing up and running so that you can just start generating leads and start following-up with them and just creating this massive community in your email list. Because, if I haven’t mentioned, the reason why this is so important is because your list is one of the only few things that you actually own as an online business owner. You don’t Facebook, you don’t own YouTube, you don’t own these platforms, you own your list. And so if they shut you down on all those places, which they can, it’s your list that’s going to be the most valuable thing you own. The relationships you built with them that’s what’s gonna stand the test of time, all right? So, that’s pretty much it, and I will see you on the next video. Like I said, if you enjoyed this, and you liked it then definitely give the video a like definitely subscribe to the channel. And oh, by the way, if you want to learn more about email marketing and how to really take it to the next level, generate leads and sales through just writing emails, then you might want to check out a really good program that my good friend Diane put together.
